It's alive!!

After 2+ years of throwing the idea around, I've finally gotten up a site for myself up and running. You'd think that it would be easy enough making the site since I've been doing this for 5 years, but you'd be wrong.

There's the time that I never seem to have for making my own site, there's always a project or three that precedes the (supposed) importance of my portfolio. No matter how much I tell myself that my site's just as important as my other projects, the thought never really gets through.

Then there's this bastard of a critic that never seems to like my work, me. Dammit, when people say that you're your own worst critic they weren't messing around. In the last 3 months I've done countless layouts, scrapping some after 2 hours, and some after a few weeks, because something always didn't quite fit. Too white, too empty, too heavy, too flashy, the fear that what I'm creating does not reflect my style, or that the layout pales in comparison to what I would consider perfect, always pervades. Putting it bluntly, I think my design sucks, even this one, this is just the least sucky of them all (And I better get this done before I change my mind yet again, ugh!).

Then there are those small potholes that drag everything on (Hmm, WordPress would be a great fit, or maybe Cake and rolling my own CMS would be the most flexible, but wait, Joomla's making a lot of noise, ooh Drupal just got a new release out, maybe I should try it again..). I finally decided 3 months ago to do everything I could to finish my own site, to trudge through all the issues and complete Chronnus.com no matter what. And here it is, finally, kicking and screaming, smelling a bit like poo, and ready to be taken out for a ride.

If you have any questions, reactions, comments, criticisms, or awesome links on where to buy viagra and cialis, or knockoff Rolexes and Bvlgaris, then be sure to let me know through the comments below.
