Hooray for portfolio updates

Finally added in 3 of my completed projects to my portfolio. All 3 are based on Drupal (5.x) and I should be writing about each of them very soon. I will probably start with Ryan's Fine Upgrades this week, with the rest to follow.

It has been a lot of fun focusing on Drupal for most of my sites, the more I spend time with it the more comfortable I am with how everything works. There really is a lot you can do with it, although it can be pretty hard to get to learn these things. The nodeapi is great and the various hooks, once you find them and figure out how they work, are pretty damn customizable. And as always CCK, and Views are almost as essential as the core (I'm finding a lot of uses for Panels as well). I cannot wait until Views for D6 is released, that's the only issue holding me back from switching this site to D6.

I hope to dive into more details on each of those projects in the following days, for now please check my portfolio page for an overview of the sites.

Once you get over the "hump" of learning the Drupal way things really start to open up. Good luck on your site, can't wait to see it :).

I might start checking out Drupal. I thought it was just some CMS like Joomla, but you've done some really amazing custom sites with it.

Hump is always good I say.

Thanks vern, yeah you can do some amazing stuff with Drupal, MTV UK's site is a great example of a big site that has more than the usual CMS stuff.

Also check out these guys : http://atendesigngroup.com/

They've found a lot of applications for Drupal, from the usual sites to integrating CRM's and other system's workflows into it.
